Law officer group lauds two Tucson attorneys
Two Tucson attorneys have been named 2004 National Prosecutors of the Year by the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Serra Tsethlikai and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean Chapman will be honored today during a luncheon at the U.S. District Court, 405 W. Congress St.
An announcement of the awards said the attorneys are being honored for their “outstanding pursuit of justice” in the shooting death of National Park Service Ranger Kris Eggle in August 2002.
The only man charged in the case was sentenced to 15 1/2 years in prison in December 2004.
